Job Overview

As a Retail Merchandiser, you will support the performance and development of Goyard’s US retail network, translating the Maison’s commercial and merchandising priorities into thoughtful, market-relevant strategies. You will be responsible for product performance, commercial planning, inventory, boutique animation, and the development of Marquage and Premarquage, while partnering closely with Paris HQ, boutiques, and regional teams to support the continued growth of the Maison. 

Key responsibilities

Analysis & Commercial Planning

  • Track sales, inventory, and boutique performance across the US.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports and business reviews.
  • Support budgeting and sales forecasting with Finance and Demand Planning.
  • Identify trends and opportunities and recommend actions to improve performance.

Boutique Network

  • Communicate product launches, merchandising priorities, and commercial initiatives to boutiques.
  • Monitor best-sellers, slow-sellers, and inventory levels and recommend actions as needed.
  • Lead monthly retail calls and support boutique managers with business insights.
  • Share US market feedback and client trends with Paris HQ.

Marquage & Premarquage

  • Lead the US strategy for Marquage and Premarquage.
  • Manage assortment, inventory, and service standards across boutiques.
  • Plan and support Marquage events, including client outreach and onsite execution.
  • Represent the Maison and its personalization savoir-faire at events.

Visual Merchandising & Events

  • Coordinate the US VM strategy with local and global teams.
  • Support boutique visits, product presentation, and seasonal storytelling.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the Regional Retail Seminar and other key retail events.

Assortment & Inventory

  • Support seasonal product selections and reissues for the US market.
  • Monitor deliveries, inventory, and product availability.
  • Optimize allocations between boutiques and the regional warehouse.
  • Support inventory planning for new boutique openings.

Wholesale & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support product training and brand education for wholesale partners.
  • Coordinate inventory and operational needs with wholesale partners.
  • Work closely with Demand Planning, Distribution, Training, VM, Logistics, and Paris HQ to support the US network.

Required qualifications and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in retail merchandising, commercial planning, or a related field; luxury experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with sales analysis, inventory, forecasting, and retail performance.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Genuine interest in luxury, craftsmanship, and client experience.
  • Willingness to travel within the US and internationally.

Compensation Data

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary based of $110,000 plus the opportunity to participate on a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contributions.
