Job Overview
Reporting to the Sales Forecasting Manager, you will be responsible for sales forecasting and demand management for your markets, with the aim of optimising stock levels and supporting commercial objectives. You will analyse historical data and market trends, working in close collaboration with the Retail, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Product and Finance teams.
Key responsibilities
Market Focus: Develop sales forecasts in close collaboration with the markets :
-Communicate daily with key country stakeholders, particularly Merchandisers, to capture main market trends, analyse the impact of Travel Retail in the region, take into account country-specific factors, anticipate local projects and events, and estimate product potential
-Analyse past sales, seasonality effects and product performance
-Build bottom-up sales forecasts at model/size and country level on a rolling 24-month horizon using the forecasting tool
-Validate monthly forecasts in collaboration with the headquarters teams
-Ensure consistency between forecasts and budget using a top-down approach
-Analyse monthly sales forecast accuracy, monitor forecast performance (Forecast Accuracy, Bias, MAPE), identify corrective action plans and adjust models based on variances
-Update parameters in the APS (e.g. modelling method, event management, historical data cleansing)
-Lead Market Reviews for assigned markets
Product Focus: Act as the guarantor of the overall forecast for assigned product families :
-Analyse and challenge the overall forecast
-Set up monthly reporting covering model tracking, risks and opportunities (challenging Demand Planners)
-Work closely with the Supply Planner
-Monitor family forecast performance and identify corrective action plan(s)
Continuous Improvement & Projects :
-Contribute to the continuous improvement of demand planning processes and tools
-Build and manage dashboards and reports
Required qualifications and skills
Holding a Master's degree (engineering school, business school or university master's), with at least 3 years of experience in sales forecasting, ideally in the Retail sector, you will be responsible for implementing and managing forecasts across your assigned markets. You will operate at the heart of an ecosystem combining Supply, Product, Merchandising and international Retail teams, where your analytical skills, ability to synthesise information and interpersonal skills will be essential.
You have advanced Excel skills (macros, Power Pivot, Power Query) and are comfortable with BI tools such as Power BI; knowledge of APS systems and familiarity with IT environments are a genuine asset.
Curious about both data and product, you know how to combine high standards with pragmatism, and demonstrate rigour, organisation and adaptability in a transforming environment. Autonomous, client-oriented and proactive, you are at ease in a demanding environment such as the Luxury sector, and you have a fluent level of English, essential for interacting with international teams. The position is based in Paris 8th arrondissement, with no remote working.
