Job Overview
As a Boutique Manager, you will embody the spirit and values of Goyard, delivering an exceptional client experience while leading the boutique with care, precision, and commercial excellence. You will be responsible for the overall performance of the boutique, including client relationships, team development, operations, merchandising, and inventory.
Key responsibilities
Client Experience & Sales
- Represent Goyard as a passionate ambassador of the Maison.
- Deliver an exceptional and personalized client experience.
- Build lasting client relationships through outreach and clienteling.
- Drive sales while maintaining the highest standards of service.
- Address and resolve client concerns with professionalism and discretion.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the boutique team.
- Support recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and client service.
- Ensure all team members uphold Goyard’s grooming and presentation standards.
Boutique Operations
- Oversee daily boutique operations and ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintain the highest standards of organization, presentation, and efficiency.
- Manage cash controls, reporting, and floor coverage.
- Ensure the boutique is always immaculate and welcoming.
Merchandising & Inventory
- Maintain Goyard’s visual merchandising standards and protect the integrity of the Maison’s image.
- Oversee inventory levels, accuracy, orders, shipments, and stock movement.
- Monitor product performance and communicate inventory needs to the corporate team.
Market Awareness
- Stay informed on local market trends, competitors, and client demographics.
- Identify opportunities to support the boutique’s growth and strengthen its presence in the market.
- Share relevant market insights with the corporate team.
Required qualifications and skills
- College degree in a business field is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience, must have previous management experience in luxury retail industry.
- Focus on leather goods sales is a plus
- Proven track record in achieving financial plans
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in leadership, motivation, training and development of retail staff.
- Capacity to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Pro-active approach to tasks.
- Strong proficiency in POS systems, as well as, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation Data
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary based of $110,000 plus the opportunity to participate on a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contributions.
